Purpose of Ball bearing

- May 11, 2018 -

The purpose of a ball bearing is to determine the relative position of two parts (usually the shaft and bearing seat) and to ensure their free rotation, and transfer the load between them at the same time. At high speeds (e.g. in gyroscopic ball bearings, this purpose can be extended to include free rotation and almost no wear in bearings.) to achieve this state, A layer of adhesive fluid film called elastohydrodynamic lubrication film can be used to separate the two parts of the bearing.
